So, there I do have a script that waits and automatically retries failed MF after that time period. But in very narrow circumstances, for example, Modern Family on ABC, the show is seen by a PlayOn recording for about 10 days and attempts to record automatically before the episode is available to download for free (without ABC credentials). In the case of failed recordings, I don't automatically re-record by default because usually it indicates a bug that needs to be addressed by a PlayOn update to work. It's fairly flexible, meaning that if there's specific functionality you don't like, it's not too hard to disable or modify it. If you are looking for a pretty UI, then maybe this isn't for you, but if you're comfortable with scripts, then it'd be worth a look. I'm also debating adding some smarts in there at some point that can tell when content might think it's completely downloaded but it's not - more than a few times you hit an issue with the browser and either the recording abruptly stops or gives up because of some issue with the site or service, and that doesn't seem to always be picked up by PlayOn as "not done". One additional thing I added a while back was automatically retrying partial recordings. I have a number of powershell scripts that run at regular intervals that do things like move downloaded content to a consistent folder hierarchy, detection and handling of watched media, consistent renaming with TheTVDB, etc. Depending on how many subscriptions you have and how much you record entire seasons at one go, this happens not too infrequently for me. I've found a lot of partial recordings happen if you shut down the service or computer without knowing whether a recording is in progress as well. Good plugin to have around.I don't know if this is for you, but I've been working on better automating a lot of PlayOn's functions for a few years now - one of the things I've been trying to do is increase the reliability of the recordings - as mentioned, there's a few cases where you can automate around either retrying partial or waiting until an opportunistic time to retry a failed recording (the latter being like ABC as mentioned above). Actually uses #1 (OneChannel) as a source, so includes a lot of the same sources, including putlocker (my favorite!). Movies and TV Entertainment from 1channel.ch and watchfreemovies.ch: Long name, but some great content.TVLinks: You'll need to register to get to the link, but, again, it's worth it.My favorites are the old "I Love Lucy" episodes (incidentally, also available on Hulu Plus). TV Land: Awesome plug-in that will allow you to get your fix of the old, classic shows that TV Land pumps out 24/7.It's the one script on here that you'll need to buy - $10.00 to the developer - but it's worth it. 5-Star Flicks and TV Shows: Awesome script with tons of great content and excellent quality. If you get one user-created script, make it this one. Look for the putlocker sources - they almost always work perfectly for me. OneChannel: Awesome script with an almost endless selection of TV shows and movies. For that purpose, I've compiled a list of my favorite working scripts to take the guesswork out of it for you! Enjoy. Beware: Scripts can be unstable and sometimes stop working altogether. They are awesome for finding shows and/or movies that aren't available on the major streaming services. I had set aside some time at the beginning of the weekend. There are third-party plugins and an official PlayOn plugin through Revision 3. These simply add additional content that isn't already there in PlayOn's huge channel library. Well this is just crazy I decided to take a little time this past weekend and install some plugins. I'm a big PlayOn user, and I make use of user-created scripts heavily.
